    What is Direct Primary Care (DPC)?

    Direct Primary Care is a membership-based model that removes insurance middlemen. For a flat monthly fee, you get direct access to your doctor—including same-day visits, longer appointments, and ongoing communication—all without hidden costs or surprise bills.

    What does my monthly membership include?

    Your membership covers unlimited office visits, same- or next-day sick visits, longer appointment times, chronic disease management, preventative care, and direct access to Dr. Thomas via phone, text, or email. We keep it simple so you can focus on your health, not paperwork.

    Do I still need insurance?

    We recommend pairing your Lotus DPC membership with a high-deductible or catastrophic insurance plan for emergencies, hospitalizations, or specialist care. Lotus DPC covers your primary care needs, but it's not a full insurance replacement.

    How do I schedule an appointment?

    You can call, text, or email us directly—no phone menus or long hold times. We offer same- or next-day appointments because we believe your time and health deserve priority.

    Actually, many members find it’s more affordable in the long run. With no copays, fewer urgent care visits, and transparent monthly pricing, DPC can simplify your healthcare—and your budget.

    Can I use my HSA or FSA to pay?

    In many cases, yes—but it depends on your plan. We recommend checking with your HSA/FSA provider. Starting January 2026, your HSA benefits can apply towards your DPC membership (upto $150/individual and $300/family). Please click here for additional information about the recent changes.

    We are also happy to provide receipts or documentation but cannot guarantee insurance reimbursement.

    Yes! Dr. Thomas offers care in English, Spanish, and Malayalam—so you can speak in the language that feels most comfortable to you.
